New! NE Fife ADHD Adult Group

When? Starting 2nd December, 6-8pm in Zest Café, St Andrews!

As most folk are aware, many of our team at the café are neurodivergent. Through conversation with them, and our 3rd Sector partners it was evident that there just isn’t enough support for people with ADHD in NE Fife, and that Fife groups tend to be in Dunfermline/Kirkcaldy….quite far to travel!

Since 2023 there has been a severe shortage of ADHD meds, with people unable to get them at all, being restricted, or on a massive wait list. Not just the medication but there is also a huge waiting list for people to be diagnosed (unless you can afford to go privately). So, what could we do to help?

Zest reached out to ADHD Dundee & Angus https://www.adhddasupport.org/ who have been operating as a charity providing ADHD support, coaching, and workshops since 2013. They have an excellent reputation and when we met up with them…we know why – they are great at what they do!

With our new collaboration we will be running a monthly support group for adults (18yrs +) as a 6-month pilot. This gives us a chance to hear what is needed/wanted in our area and help people learn the skills to make living with ADHD more manageable…. oh and of course…meet some new people!
